Unlike Western countries, East Asia had been grappling with a prolonged pandemic. In May 2023, the Japanese government finally downgraded COVID-19 to the level of seasonal influenza, marking more than 3.5 years since the pandemic began in 2020.​​​​​​​

Like many others, I have been staying at home and spending a lot of time alone. As a result, I picked up a new hobby – taking a daily walk around my neighborhood. Despite significant changes in the world, I've noticed that nature has remained constant. This realization has been incredibly comforting, and I'm eager to showcase the beauty and resilience of nature (such as flowers, grass, gardens, and ponds) through my art.
